About the role
We’re looking for a Culinary Trainer to work with the team to continue to develop clear and robust training programs for our partners. This is a role that will both collaborate heavily with various internal departments as well as work with external partners. This position offers an incredible opportunity to work with a diverse team, building a revolutionary training platform. From developing innovative materials to formulating a custom plan for individual partners, this role will alter the course of the industry, as we know it. Compensation: $55k +20% bonus + generous stock options and benefits.
The impact you will have:Provide virtual training and/or consulting to partners as needed. Topics include item execution, ordering, and product availability, virtual training materials, etc. Customize training content and format to fit partners' objectives. Actively seek ways to improve instruction. Continually update and revise training material content and teaching methodology to remain current and relevant. Develop, organize, and update training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials Deliver guidance in quality, safety & sanitation in a debrief format afterward to the restaurant fulfillment partners. Consult with the account management team regarding the relationship health of our restaurant partnerships. Support the food quality assurance program, relaying feedback collected to our restaurant fulfillment partners and retraining as needed. Occasionally travel (10-25%) to provide in-person training or support to restaurant fulfillment partners as needed.
What you bring to the role:2+ years of hands-on culinary or kitchen experience, ideally as a Head or Sous ChefProfessional speaking and writing skills Strong organization skills Ability to assess individuals and culinary processesConfidence in coaching Presentation skills Attention to details Business senses (food costing, cost control, waste control)Passion for teachingBilingual in Spanish is highly preferred, but not required
