Senior Quality Engineer
USA, Remote
FireMon is a recognized innovator in global cybersecurity, leading the way with disruptive technologies and forward-thinking solutions. Here, proactive thinking is not just encouraged—it’s celebrated. Our fast-paced, cutting-edge environment fuels continuous innovation, shaping how we build products, support customers, and drive results every day.

FireMon Asset Manager delivers real-time cybersecurity asset visibility across complex, evolving enterprise environments.

As organizations grow through cloud adoption, M&A activity, network upgrades, and infrastructure sprawl, maintaining accurate asset inventory becomes exponentially harder. Shadow IT, misconfigured integrations, and incomplete discovery pipelines create blind spots that increase risk.

FAM exists to eliminate those blind spots.

Quality in this product is not cosmetic — it directly impacts customer security posture and operational trust.

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer with strong automation skills to lead quality and regression strategy for Asset Manager.
This role focuses on validating discovery pipelines, data normalization logic, cloud and network integrations, and backend accuracy at scale. You will build automation that verifies not just features — but correctness of asset ingestion, transformation, and reporting across dynamic environments. You will operate as a technical quality owner within a critical cybersecurity product.

What You'll Own

  • Automation strategy for API, service-layer, and data validation testing.
  • Expansion of backend automated regression coverage focused on ingestion, normalization, and reporting accuracy.
  • Validation of multi-vendor discovery workflows (network + cloud).
  • Risk-based release readiness assessments.
  • Design and maintenance of realistic lab environments (virtualized, hybrid, cloud).
  • Early engagement with Engineering to improve testability and prevent defects.
  • Root cause analysis of complex customer-reported data inconsistencies.
  • What We're Looking For

  • 6–10 years of Quality Engineering experience in complex enterprise software.
  • Strong automation development experience (Python preferred).
  • Experience testing APIs, backend services, and data transformation pipelines.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.
  • Solid networking fundamentals (Layer 2–7 protocols).
  • Comfortable validating data at the database level (SQL experience preferred).
  • Ability to trace data flows across services and diagnose inconsistencies.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Preferred Experience

  • Networking or network security product testing.
  • Cloud platform integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with microservices or containerized architectures.
  • Experience mentoring or elevating automation standards.
  • What Success Looks Like

  • Increased automated validation of backend discovery and normalization workflows.
  • Measurable reduction in regression escapes related to data accuracy.
  • High confidence in release quality for ingestion and integration changes.
  • Stable, trusted automation suites integrated into CI/CD.
  • Recognized as the quality owner for Asset Manager.
  • Why THis Role Is Compelling

  • High-impact product directly tied to cybersecurity risk reduction.
  • Clear ownership of a focused product domain.
  • Opportunity to shape automation strategy and quality maturity.
  • Remote flexibility and strong cross-functional visibility.
  • Technical depth without management overhead.
    • We are strong believers that cutting-edge cybersecurity can have a huge impact on making the world a safer place and we want other people who feel that same passion. In return, we can offer you the opportunity to work with and learn from a fast-growing, high-performance team.  One of the biggest benefits of working here, is the huge impact employees have on the overall product and business. Each person’s work directly affects the outcome of the finalized product and the success of the business.
