Materials Intern, Summer 2021

Role Description:
This will be an in-lab internship and will work with the materials R&D team. You will build skills in both materials formulation and characterization. This intern will develop an understanding of structure-property relationships in polymeric materials, how to validate alternative raw materials, and how to present valid conclusions to a group of peers. Some specific work will be in formulation preparation, organic synthesis, raw material characterization, formulation characterization, printing, post-processing, and downstream mechanical property testing.
Work with our resin R&D team to present valid experimental results. 
Work with our resin process engineering team to help communicate important results and product implications.
Qualifications
The ideal applicant would be pursuing a bachelors in science in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials, or would have recently graduated. Prior undergraduate or industry experience in materials or polymers research is also highly recommended.
