Senior Manager, Quality Engineering

This role will be leading the team responsible for ensuring the quality of Carbon’s Hardware & Accessories products.

This role is located in our Redwood City, CA location.


  • Put in place systems to proactively monitor field and production data to identify systemic trends which could indicate quality issues. Develop and maintain quality control plans for parts and products
  • Address quality issues that arise through efficient containment, detailed root cause investigations, and cross functional collaboration to ensure implementation of corrective actions
  • Collaborate with R&D on new development projects to ensure quality requirements are input into product requirement
  • Leadership of the team responsible for Carbon's Hardware and Accessories products
  • Requirements:

  • BS or MS in relevant engineering discipline
  • 7+ years work experience in a manufacturing environment with some of that time leading a team of engineers
  • Ability to work in a fast paced international environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skills:

  • Quickbase, JMP, Statistical Process Control
  • Familiarity with Quality System standards such as ISO 9001
  • Formal training in problem solving techniques
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with and managing quality at contract manufacturers
  • Demonstrated progression of increasing responsibility throughout career
