Carbon, a Series E company generously funded by top VC firms, is looking for a Vice President EU Sales & Business Development to join the growing Carbon team headquartered in Redwood City, CA USA. In this position you will lead Carbon sales and business development success in Europe for selling 3D printing into the industries Carbon is focused on serving strategically: Oral Health, Automotive, Aviation/Space/Defense, Medical, Industrial and Consumer industries. This position is primarily focused on the customer base in Italy, Germany, UK, France and Spain.
The position will be responsible for developing the sales pipeline of Channel Sales partners, product manufacturers (OEMs) and their supply chain contract manufacturers (CMs) to be sufficient to meet booking goals and to close the number of new customers and the booking amounts to meet/exceed the company’s goals in the Western European markets.

Required Attributes:Experience building and leading sales teams that close, retain, and upsell new business A proven “hunter” that finds and closes new customer business to beat quotaExperience in capital equipment selling (e.g. polymer AM systems, metal AM systems, strategic Design/Manufacturing systems)Success selling into enterprise companies in Oral Health, Automotive, Aviation/Space/Defense, Medical, Industrial and Consumer industries and contract manufacturers serving those industries.Possesses deep target market industry insight (e.g. product innovation and manufacturing supply chain) and has developed strong business relationships at target companies and their manufacturing supply base (i.e. Contract Manufacturers).Ability to grasp the technical value proposition and ability to work with the customer and discover how this value proposition can help the customer to create business value and solve critical business problems.Experience leading effective sales campaigns that utilizes cross-functional team members efficiently to close, retain, and upsell new business.Excellent relationship building skills based on keen ability to listen and creative discovery of critical problems you solved.Consultative development of value, justification, and compelling events to close business as forecasted.Humble listening leaderTeam player
Main Tasks:Maximize sales in the EU region with focus on hardware, resin and other product offerings.Strategy formation and acquisition of Channel Sales partners in countries with industry fit for Carbon solutions.Support of existing channel business in all sales and marketing related topicsAcquisition of new customers in the segments of design, engineering and manufacturing either directly or with Channel sales partnersLeveraging success in market applications in the US, identify key clients and stakeholders in EU regions.Manage Channel and direct clients through the pipeline in order to maximize sales and deliver accurate forecastSupport of existing customers, by generating revenue through renewal and expansion of the install base.Development of EU user case stories for marketing media effortsDelivering accurate forecast and reports as required by the management
Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years’ sales achievement experience selling industrial automation products exceeding sales targets over 8 million Euros per yearSales and sales leadership position in Startup experienceSpeaks English Strong reference customers delighted with solutions you sold themBS degree in engineering is preferredExperience selling capital equipment such as Automation, Manufacturing equipment, Machinery or other complex systems for business customers
