Senior Product Manager, Materials

Carbon product managers understand our customers’ needs and use that insight to define and launch our products. We are deeply collaborative: product managers work with our entire team to bring product concepts to life.

This role will support Carbon’s Materials product vision of bringing to market innovative solutions and partnering with key stakeholders in executing on that vision.


  • Support Carbon’s product vision for materials. Identify current and future customer needs, and work with the team to develop a plan to prioritize, evaluate, and address those needs
  • Collect and summarize customer insights and requests through interviews, surveys & data analysis; manage customer trials and feedback gathering exercises; draw insights from usage patterns
  • Work with segment PMs and technical teams at Carbon to deliver and refine product requirement documents with prioritized features and justifications
  • Establish and evaluate metrics to drive lifecycle decisions for current portfolio resins
  • Work within Carbon to develop and refine forecasts and financial models, and across GTM functions to ensure product success
  • Champion strategies to improve customer adoption within our resin portfolio through product testing, positioning, print improvements, and more
  • Build cross functional relationships and manage complex, cross-functional projects across multiple teams
  • Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 5+ yrs track record of demonstrated success in product development or product management working on chemical or material products to define, launch and support products
  • Understanding of polymeric manufacturing methods
  • Experience with various methods and approaches to data analysis (Excel, Tableau, etc)
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills; proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to motivate a team towards a shared vision
  • BS/BA degree in relevant field; advanced degree and/or MBA preferred
  • Previous startup or entrepreneurial experience preferred
