About the role:
This is a fantastic role for a Talent Acquisition professional who goes beyond keyword searches and pushing paper. It's a role for someone who wants to be a partner to the business, an advocate for your candidates, and truly wants to be a part of the business’ future success.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, curious, out of the box thinker to join a small but growing team of people leading the hiring efforts at Carbon.  As a team, we hire software engineers, hardware engineers, material scientists, sales, finance, operations, and more.
You will build and own relationships with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and create a hiring plan that delivers a diverse and qualified candidate pool, resulting in the best hires for the organization.  A successful person in this role will have a solid commitment to diversity, creative sourcing and partnership as well as a passion for ensuring that every person we talk with will have a positive experience with Carbon no matter the outcome.

Experience Required for this role

Some of the areas you will be responsible for in this role include:

  •   Manage full-cycle recruiting process emphasizing a close partnership with hiring managers.
  • Creating an exceptional candidate experience regardless of role or stage of the interview process.
  • Develop relationships with candidates and hiring managers to understand requirements and motivational drivers that will help ensure a good long term fit and success in the role.
  • Creatively build a diverse talent pipeline of passive and engaged candidates.
  • Monitor, track and communicate recruiting activity both in our ATS Lever, as well as with hiring teams.
  • Working in partnership with the candidate, HR and hiring team, craft a market competitive offer that is mutually beneficial for both the candidate and the company.
  • Maintain a connected relationship with new hires through offer acceptance and onboarding to ensure onboarding is a pleasant experience.
  • Experience required for this role

  •   5+ years professional experience with in-house full-cycle recruiting in a fast paced tech environment with at least two years recruiting for engineering roles.
  • A demonstrated track record of building out diverse teams.
  • Strong sourcing skills that go beyond keyword searches.  Tell us some ways you have creatively sourced for difficult to find candidates.
  • Previous experience managing 10-15 concurrent open roles
  • Understanding of the unique challenges (and opportunities) or working in a startup environment.  If you crave highly defined processes and structures, be prepared to be a part of the team that creates them.  We like good processes too, but we are a work in progress. 
  • Ability to understand and articulate the value proposition around compensation packages.  Must be tuned into market factors and the various compensation structures offered, how they compare to Carbon and how we can help candidates understand to make the right decision. 
  • Commitment to managing the recruitment process through onboarding.  Your job does not stop after “yes”.
  • Strong communication skills so that you can keep all stakeholders informed about recruiting status and market factors.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business operations, talent needs, and job requirements to assess candidate quality, skills and overall fit to identify the best candidate for each position.
