This will be a hands-on in-lab internship to work and develop new materials with the Materials R&D formulation team. Exposure to develop understanding of structure-property relationships in unique rigid polymeric materials, various characterization techniques and regular opportunity for presentations to the peer group.
Use of statistical tools and Design of Experiments to help formulate, establish structure property relationships and troubleshoot during scale-up/manufacturing.
Work with multi-disciplinary teams across the organization for validation of materials.
Ideal candidate would be an undergraduate or recent graduate in the field of materials science, chemical engineering or chemistry. Prior hands-on experience in a polymer/soft materials lab and exposure to various thermal/mechanical characterization techniques (DMA,DSC, Instron, TGA, etc) is desirable.
