Carbon is seeking a highly-motivated, proactive contracts administrator/contracts manager to join our team to handle a wide variety of transactions across the company’s business as we grow and scale domestically and internationally.  The right person for this position must be a team player who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is able to balance legal risk with business objectives. The role includes a broad spectrum of responsibilities, from reviewing, drafting, revising,and negotiating contracts (e.g. vendor, NDA, \ sales, supply chain, marketing, etc.) to managing our contracts management and other legal systems. We are looking for someone who is always looking for ways to make us better, including automating and implementing scalable contracting processes, such as templates and playbooks.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Review, revise, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts including non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements, sales-related agreements, marketing agreements, and more.
  • Help the legal team scale to support the Company’s growth by implementing systems, automation, processes, and procedures to support the contracting function
  • Manage our automated contracts management system, to ensure proper approvals are received and we have reliable data regarding contract status, volume, processing times, and other operational metrics
  • Ensure we have a reliable repository of fully executed contracts
  • Management and updating of our library of template forms, provisions, and other relevant information
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and other internal stakeholders in connection with all of the foregoing.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the legal department and help to provide quality legal services to the company, which may involve working on cross-functional projects.
  • Assist with other general administrative and legal support as needed.

  • Has experience and knowledge of best practices for legal department organization and contract management

  • Experience with contract management systems, bonus points for IronClad experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with a broad audience including sales, marketing, operations, and finance professionals
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload and competing priorities
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail
  • Ability to provide high-quality product in a timely manner
  • Efficient, effective, and well organized

  • About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of relevant professional legal experience, including prior in-house experience
  • Current Notary certification a plus
