Carbon’s mission is simple: we change how products are made and how manufacturing businesses are run. From patient-specific medical devices to on-demand spare part production, we enable designers, engineers, and businesses to create in ways that were previously impossible.
 
Carbon product managers understand our customers’ needs and use that insight to define and launch our products. We are  deeply collaborative: product managers work with our entire team to bring product concepts to life.
 
This role will focus on defining Carbon’s product vision, leading the product team bringing to market innovative solutions, and partnering across the executive team and company as a whole in executing on that vision.

Responsibilities:
Product Vision: Lead definition and prioritization of Carbon’s products, in our full range of underlying technologies, including hardware, software, materials, and other customer touch points. Ensure we have the right pre and post-processing accessories available to deliver an ideal customer experience with Carbon Products
Market Driven Approach: Lead company wide processes to insure consistent customer feedback drives our decisions, product strategy and roadmap. 
Product Roadmap: Lead and partner with development, marketing, operations, sales, customer care and the executive team to define our product strategy and roadmap.
Product Team Leadership: Support, develop, motivate, and grow a strong, cohesive product management team.
Business Model and Pricing:  Ensure that our business model is as customer-focused and innovative as our technology. 
Competitive Analysis: Understand the world of technologies for 3D printing, design tools, polymer manufacturing, and our unique position within it. 
Customers,Markets, and Competitive Landscape: Working with sales and marketing, synthesize learnings from the team's primary and secondary research to understand our customers and the broader market opportunities they represent. Help play a role in competitive analysis and positioning.
Product Development Stakeholder: Continuously refine product plans based on learnings from development progress and our target customers.  Ensure visibility of updated product plans as these refinements occur.

Requirements:
10+ year track record of demonstrated success leading a Product Management organization and bringing products to market on time.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a team towards a shared vision.
Thoughtful, warm people leader with a history of building strong, cohesive teams.
Proven ability to justify and make challenging business/product tradeoffs and difficult prioritization choices.
Excellent cross-functional leadership skills; must be able to listen and partner across organizations, driving to alignment and coalition on the product roadmap.
BS/BA degree in relevant field; engineering background and/or MBA preferred.
Previous startup or entrepreneurial experience preferred.
