We are looking for an experienced Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join our Production Engineering Team. In this role, you will work with the Engineering team to automate and enhance the reliability and performance of systems that power the Armorblox platform. You will diagnose, resolve issues encountered in the production systems, take part in a 24/7 on-call rotation with teams across the globe to address mission-critical issues.
Must HavesBachelor’s in Computer Science, or equivalent subjectsPassionate about tools in the DevOps ecosystemTrack record of leading successful large scale Infrastructure projectsStrong Linux fundamentals & bash scripting experienceExperience operating Kubernetes on Google Cloud or similar PaaS providers10+ years of experience with automating systems and infrastructureRespond to production incidents and determining how we can prevent them in the futureCan code to a good standard with a programming language and familiarity with good software engineering practicesExperience working on early stages of product development, or prior startup experienceExperience with mentoring junior engineers
Nice to havesPassionate about tools in the DevOps ecosystemAbility to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervisionDeep understanding of distributed systems and data pipelines (such as Kafka, Spark)Experience coding in Python or GoExperience using TerraformExperience with multiple cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)Experience with on-prem deployments
