This role supports Verisys by testing applications, evaluating the stability and reliability of enhancements and changes made by engineering/infrastructure/DevOps teams, and certifying the quality of deliverables.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Attends product planning and Scrum meetingsLearns the functionality of applicationsAnalyzes the changes being made to applicationsEstimates the amount of effort that would be required to complete the workCreates positive and negative test cases to exercise application changesSocializes the change with the QA teamCreates destructive test casesExecutes test cases and accurately reports on resultsParticipates in peer reviews of test casesLiaises with developers and ensures defects identified are resolvedUpdates status sheets etc. after the completion of tasksRequired Skills/Abilities:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to prioritize and effectively communicate verbally and in writingComputer literate: ability to use G-Suite and MS Office productivity applications proficiently Demonstrates professionalism, honesty, discretion, and integrityStrong sense of confidentiality and personal responsibilityAbility to work collaboratively, internally, and externallyAbility to relate well to a variety of individuals and a track record of being a team player Provides excellent service to internal and external customersDemonstrates high energy level, strong work ethic, and proactive problem-solving skillsAPI Testing: Strong understanding of JSON, SOAP, XML, and related formats/protocols.Database Skills: Ability to write and execute SQL queries, including clauses, joins, and data validation.Education/Experience:
A bachelor's degree, particularly in computer science, engineering, or a related field+2 years of QA testing experience Preferred Education/Experience:
