What You'll Do:
We are seeking a Team Lead, Full Stack Engineering who will lead a high-performing team of Full Stack Engineers working on high-volume, security-intensive applications. You will play a crucial role in building a Scrum team alongside a local Tech Lead, developing, integrating, and delivering software products using all layers of the stack, including UI/UX, database integration, and automation frameworks for testing and deployment. Your responsibilities will include:
Leadership and Team Building:
- Lead and mentor a Scrum team of engineers working on a greenfield project, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Provide technical leadership in developing software applications and solutions based on documented business and system requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Team to participate in the creation of new products from scratch, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Development and Delivery:
- Design and develop software applications with a focus on stability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Own the delivery schedule and ensure the quality of work by providing accurate estimates and managing the development process effectively.
- Write, edit, and debug code across all layers of the stack, including front-end, back-end, and database layers.
- Utilize Test-driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-driven Development (BDD) techniques to create detailed, executable designs for solutions.
- Implement secure coding practices and ensure that all developed applications adhere to industry security standards.
Azure Cloud and Security Focus:
- Lead the integration of cloud-based solutions, with a strong emphasis on leveraging Azure Cloud services to enhance application scalability and performance.
- Ensure that all cloud-based and on-premises applications comply with security best practices, including secure coding, data protection, and threat mitigation strategies.
Mentorship and Support:
- Mentor and coach junior and senior developers on technical patterns, coding challenges, and best practices.
- Review designs and code, providing feedback and guidance to ensure adherence to architectural standards and project goals.
- Provide assistance to the testing team and support personnel to resolve application issues, responding promptly and professionally to bug reports.
What You May Need to be Successful:
Experience:
- 7-10 years of development experience in high-volume, SAAS platforms.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an Agile development environment (Scrum or
- Kanban preferred) as a technical lead or manager.
- Proven experience leading teams in building scalable, robust, secure, and cloud-based software applications.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in modern development languages and frameworks such as, Java, C#, and others.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies like Angular, as well as back-end technologies including Oracle/PostgreSQL databases.
- Expertise in Microservices architecture, cloud-based application development, and automation frameworks like Jenkins and Git.
- In-depth experience with Azure Cloud services, including deployment, management, and optimization of cloud-based applications.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices, cybersecurity principles, and compliance with security standards.
Education and Development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and handle multiple priorities.
- Outstanding attention to detail, with excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative, capable of working independently and leading a team in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to mentor and grow technical talent within the team.
