We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that span Core Infrastructure, Platform, Engineering, Product Management, Research, Legal, and Operations. This position will work closely with teams to develop and refine efficient processes, elevate effective ways of working, and maintain robust and clear communication channels across the organization.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in infrastructure and platform development processes and can partner closely with our infrastructure and platform engineering teams as they architect and maintain scalable and reliable systems. We are looking for someone who thrives in sophisticated, fast-paced environments and is capable of providing structure and leadership to drive complex technical programs from inception to completion. You will play a crucial role in influencing how we tackle infrastructure challenges and ensure that these learnings are scaled and integrated into the core development process.
We follow a flexible hybrid model that generally translates to around half your time on-site in either our San Francisco or Denver office—roughly three days per week.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:
Oversee the full lifecycle of large infrastructure & platform programs and initiatives, guiding them from ideation through implementation, launch, and post-launch performance monitoring.
Act as the central connector across diverse, cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration among remote teams spanning multiple time zones, facilitating decision-making, and driving successful program delivery.
Manage clear and consistent program communications with stakeholders at all levels across the organization, fostering transparency and ensuring timely updates and information sharing.
Anticipate potential risks and proactively mitigate them by conducting thorough assessments to evaluate if implementation plans align with requirements and meet strategic infrastructure & platformobjectives.
Serve as the primary point of escalation for any issues related to assigned infrastructure and platform programs, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption.
Establish and enhance technical and operational processes that allow infrastructure and platform programs and teams to function with high efficiency and reliability.
Leverage and demonstrate proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Airtable, and other technological solutions to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and optimize program and team efficiency.

Salary ranges are categorized into one of three tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. We will determine the candidate’s starting pay based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. We may modify these ranges in the future. Our engineering organization is looking for a motivated and experienced iOS engineer at Staff level to join Strava’s mobile team in San Francisco. A Staff Engineer at Strava is an Individual Contributor in a technical leadership position. You will be reporting to a Director of Engineering, working across two teams: Achieve and Explore. Achieve’s charter is to help active people achieve their athletic goals. They own features like our Progress and Training experiences, the Activity Page and Athlete Intelligence. Explore’s charter is to help our athletes explore the world around them. They own features like Routes, Segments and how our users interact with Maps.

As a Staff Design Technologist, you will lead multiple projects that involve significant scope and complexity. This role is part of the Design System team (Frameworks and Tools) and will be crucial for designing and developing high-quality features and products that provide a best-in-class experience for Strava users.
In this role, you will work closely with designers from both the product and brand teams, along with engineers, researchers, data analysts, and product managers to create intuitive, human-centered experiences that are ready for implementation.
Your responsibilities will include bridging the gap between design and code by developing mobile prototypes using Swift UI. You will work with the codebase to automate specific tasks within the design systems and translate Figma files into app code as part of working prototypes.
Strong skills in Figma and experience in prototyping with Swift UI are essential, as well as a background in implementing motion and animation in products.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify gaps and opportunities for improving efficiency by streamlining the project handoff from the design team to engineering.

Drive efficiency in design and development workflows by efficiently connecting the designs and code, enabling rapid iteration
Test, learn and champion new tools and technologies to enhance animation and interactivity within our product. Serve as a key resource and point of contact across the business for leveraging our tooling stack.
Partner with motion designers to seamlessly integrate interactive motion with tools like Rive and Spline.
Define motion standards in product for state machine structures, naming, and performance guidelines.
Partner with the research team to develop prototypes for user research and usability testing that validate features and optimize them for user needs and behaviors.
Lead initiatives to enhance and upgrade accessibility standards for our product through design and coding practices.
Collaborate with designers and engineers to efficiently connect code and design by using Tokens, Dev mode, Figma variables, Storybook, Style Dictionary, Plug-ins and Tools integration.
Partner with engineers and designers to QA and code review, as well as creating comprehensive documentation for ensuring smooth onboarding that will foster deep understanding of system capabilities
